<p>A patent information system of the present invention searches a patent database, in which a plurality of pieces of patent information, each piece of information including pieces of date data in one or more fields, has been stored, and outputs search results. The system includes search a means for searching the patent database according to search conditions; a date identification means for identifying the pieces of date data that belong to pieces of patent data found by the search means; and an output format setting means for determining an output format for the pieces of found patent data. The output format setting means receives pieces of IDentification (ID) data that belong to the pieces of patent data found by the search means from the patent database, forms a time-series graph in which either of a lateral axis and a vertical axis is a temporal axis, and outputs the pieces of ID data, which belong to the pieces of found patent data, on the time-series graph, and sets the locations of the pieces of ID data do that the locations correspond to respective pieces of date data that belong to the pieces of found patent data.</p> |
