PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a branch-meeting part of a shielded tunnel which can be executed without exerting any influence on the ground, can reduce the construction time and the cost of execution, and can be safely executed. SOLUTION: An execution method of the branch and the meet of the shielded tunnel for connecting a branch-line tunnel to the side 8 of a main-line tunnel is provided with a cutting-part formation process and a tunnel-communication process. In the cutting-part formation process, a cutting part is formed by arranging cutting blocks 6 in the tunnel in proximity to the side 8 of the tunnel. Then in the tunnel-communication process, the branch-line tunnel is driven from the side 8 of the tunnel toward the interior of the cutting part, and is connected to the interior of the main-line tunnel. After the width-expansion part 10R overhanging outward in the tunnel width direction has been formed in the main-line tunnel, the cutting-part formation process and the tunnel-communication process are performed. Then the main-line tunnel and the branch-line tunnel are connected to each other on the tunnel side on the other side of the width-expansion part 10R in the tunnel width direction.
