PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump unit capable of obviously reducing noise compared to a conventional on-water pump, capable of being installed in a room to which the air is not ventilated, capable of being installed in the in-line type without requiring an installation stand or a supporting body for installation, and capable of substantially dispensing with maintenance. SOLUTION: The pump unit 10 can be used for a liquid distribution system, and is provided with an underwater usage type or an underwater usable type electric pump 12 inserted into a booster 14 having a suction port 30 and a delivery port 28 for liquid, the suction port 30 and the delivery port 28 are provided on an end of the booster 14 near a feed-out port of the electric pump 12, and are coaxial on the opposite sides with respect to each other (along a line 36).
