PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device and a door body equipped with the locking device having excellent waterproofness while improving crime preventive performance. SOLUTION: The locking device equipped with an indoor side unit, a lock case and an outdoor side unit from the indoor side and operable to lock/unlock from both the indoor side and outdoor side, is provided with a body part 250 with the indoor side unit disposed in a state of fixing one end to the lock case and exposing the other end to the indoor side; an engaging mechanism provided inside the body part and disposed partially exposed to the indoor side end of the body part; a thumb-turn 240 partially engaged with the engaging mechanism while the other part is projected to the indoor side, and detachably engaged with the body part; and a cover 230 detachably fitted to cover the body part from the indoor side. When the cover is mounted, infiltration of moisture into the body part is limited, and when the cover is not mounted, lock case locking/unlocking operation is permitted by the operation of the thumb-turn engaged with the engaging mechanism while forbidding locking/unlocking operation from the indoor side of the lock case in the detached state of the thumb-turn and engaging mechanism.
