摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent uncertain and unnecessary regenerative braking from being performed at an initial stage of brake operation and to realize certain deceleration responding to requirement of a driver in a braking device for an electric vehicle provided with a brake operation amount detection means; a mechanical braking force exhibition means capable of mechanically braking a drive wheel connected with an electric motor according to operation of a brake operation element; a braking force determination means for determining required braking force based on a brake operation amount detected by the brake operation amount detection means; and a braking force distribution means for distributing the required braking force to the regenerative braking force and the mechanical braking force. SOLUTION: The braking force distribution means 69 is constituted such that the whole amount of the required braking force determined by the braking force determination means 68 is distributed to the mechanical braking force by the mechanical braking force exhibition means 11 until both the brake operation amount detected by the brake operation amount detection means 20 and the mechanical braking force detected by the mechanical braking force detection means 57 exceed a predetermined value.
