The excellent features of a fluid-filled cushion are realized with a purely mechanical construction in a leak-proof manner and independent from the force of gravity. Tensile bands (d20) working perpendicular to the plane of the cushion retain a system of rockers (b10 b70) with a substructure (c10 c 30) in balance. A tension adjusting mechanism (d30) makes different degrees of firmness of the cushion possible. |
