<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network controller or a network control system where an improper traffic such as attacking traffic, excessive traffic can be detected even in a high-speed network through which a large amount of traffic flows, and where cutting off and band control of the traffic are automated. <P>SOLUTION: The network controller 101 includes: a means for connecting one or more networks 103 to 105; a means 106 for monitoring a packet flowing through the networks; a means 116 for adding the number of packets where the values of the fields of one or at least two arbitrary sets 119 in the packets obtained by the monitoring means 106 are equal; and a packet estimation means 116 for estimating the characteristic of the packets of a number which exceed a predetermined threshold from the value of the field of one or at least two arbitrary sets different from the mentioned one or at least two arbitrary sets, when the number of added packets exceed a designated threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
