PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common query graph pattern generation device and method and a program for generation for generating a query graph pattern for acquiring information with a structure having common implications relevant to information input by a user or preset information when retrieving information with which a query graph pattern is matched from among a large amount of data having the graph structure. SOLUTION: A common query graph pattern generating device acquires a retrieval subgraph matched with a retrieval query graph pattern for retrieving a path existing among a plurality of nodes or property acquired from a graph structure database 30 based on information input from a user terminal 20 or preset information. Then, the graph structure included in the retrieval subgraph which appears several times in the combination of property names is extracted, and arbitrary node names and property names included in the extracted graph structure are made variable, so that a common query graph pattern is generated.
