A power generation device of a marine vessel (10) driven by a power transmission shaft (3a) interposed between the crankshaft (2a) of an engine (2) and a power transmission device (3). A case (31) is installed on the periphery of the power transmission shaft, and a power generation device (10) and a fan (23) for cooling the power generation device are formed around the power transmission shaft (3a) in the case (31). The case (10) is formed in a tubular shape having connection surfaces on the engine (2) side and the power transmission device (3) side and an outer peripheral surface between these both connection surfaces. Intake holes (3d, 3d, 3d) arranged on the inner peripheral side of the blades (23a) of the fan (23) rotating about the axis of the power transmission shaft (3a) are formed in the power transmission device side connection surface (3e) of the case (31), and an exhaust hole (21b) is formed in the outer peripheral surface of the case (31) at a portion (21a) near the engine. |
