A data link providing device, a mobile testing system, and a testing method and system are provided to operate a data relay, which is accessible to a mobile device through a data interface, so that data can be exchanged between a test application of the mobile device and an internal diagnosis unit through the data interface. A data relay(104) can be connected to a mobile device(102) by using the data interface of the mobile device(102) and is operable so as to enable data exchange between subsystems of the mobile device(102) by using the data interface. The subsystems of the mobile device(102) are programming environments and an internal diagnosis unit(108). The programming environments are operable so as to execute a test application(106) which uses information from the internal diagnosis unit(108).
