PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging bag of an envelope type, which has opening cuts that make it possible to easily tear with hands from a predetermined part of a non-sealed section while leaving straight beautiful cut edge. SOLUTION: The packaging bag is of the envelope type in which a rectangular layered product that has heat-sealable resin layers as an innermost layer and an outermost layer is formed into an envelope by sticking a part to another such that the envelope has a rear seal and upper and lower end seals perpendicular to the rear seal. In the packaging bag, series of cuts are made in an area crossing one of two side edges defined by the folds of the bag body of the packaging bag. Another series of cuts are made in the overlapping part of the rear seal of the envelope, which is on a line extending from the area across the one side edge so as to be almost perpendicular to the rear seal of the envelope. The series of cuts made in the area crossing the one side edge allow the edge of the packaging bag to start to be torn. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
