PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel restricted assembly in a core which improves resistances to floating and vibration of fuel assembly and reduces a harmful compression working on the assembly. SOLUTION: The restricted assembly in core 100 of this invention is for a reactor core 30 having an upper core plate 42, a lower core plate 44 and a plurality of fuel assemblies 2 extending in the longitudinal direction between the upper core plate and the lower core plate. Each fuel assembly has an upper nozzle (4), a lower nozzle (6) and a plurality of thin and long fuel rods (12) extending between the upper nozzle and the lower nozzle. The restricted assembly in core is combined with the upper core plate and has a first restriction element 102 such as a spring pack giving a good axial compression force to the upper nozzle of the fuel assembly. A second optional restriction element 104 is engaging in the fuel assembly near the lower nozzle and is constituted so as to be combined with the lower core plate so as to restrict the fuel assembly.
