<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power switching circuit that enables an electric device to reduce its power consumption while in a stand-by mode. <P>SOLUTION: The switching circuit is provided on the electric device having a power module. The switching circuit is provided with a first signal generating circuit (20) and a second signal generating circuit (30). The first signal generating circuit (20) emits a first signal, while the second signal generating circuit (30) that is connected to the first one emits a second signal after receiving the first signal. The second signal controls the operation of a power module (60). Thus, the electric device can be operated between the stand-by mode and an operation mode via the first and second signals. The switching circuit can make the power consumption of the power module less when the electric device is in the stand-by mode. It is only electric power for operating the required second signal generating circuit (30).
