<p>Wrist orthotic device comprises a wing-like section (88) arranged on a hand region (92) for partially surrounding the hand on all sides. Preferred Features: The device has a rail (12) with four wing-like sections (80, 82, 84, 86) on the arm region and a wing-like section (88) on the hand region. The rail is made from a metal, especially aluminum, or a plastic. The wing-like sections (80, 82, 84, 86, 88) are bent to fit the contour of the arm or hand.
