<p>A digital printing method is provided in which a segmented static print table normally supports the working area during printing. For enabling borderless printing or printing on a mesh material the step is included of reconfiguring the static printing table by removing and replacing segments of the table and replacing them bucket segments or by a gutter part to collect jetted ink passing through or aside the medium. This avoids contamination of the static print table leading to smearing and bad prints.</p>
