<p>A transmission and reception system, a transmitter, a transmission method, a receiver, a reception method, and a program are provided to prevent deterioration of transmission rate. A transmission and reception system includes a transmitter(11) and a receiver(13). The transmitter(11) has a packet memory unit, a number assigning unit, an information receiving unit, a retransmission control unit(26), a packet transmitting unit, a number memory unit, and an erasing unit. The packet memory unit memorizes untransmitted packet, retransmission-scheduled packet, and transmission-scheduled packet. The information receiving unit receives an assigned number to assign the retransmission-scheduled packet. The packet transmitting unit selects transmission-scheduled packet by the specific transmission rate. The receiver(13) has a packet reception unit, a detection unit, and an information transmitting unit. The packet reception unit receives the packet transmitted by the packet transmitting unit. The detection unit detects a loss of the packet based on the number assigned to the packet received by the packet reception unit. And, the information transmitting unit transmits the assigning information assigning the packet with the detected loss to the transmitter.</p> |
