<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device wherein a light emitting element is coated with a silicone resin layer excellent in the thermal resistance, light stability against the short wavelength such as ultraviolet rays, and mechanical strength. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting device incorporates a light emitting element and a silicone resin layer formed by a screen printing for coating this light emitting element. This silicone resin layer comprises the hardened materials composed of the hardened silicone resin composition containing (A) organopolysiloxane with the weight average molecular weight of not less than 5×10<SP>3</SP>in terms of the polystyrene, which is expressed by the average composition formula (1): R<SP>1</SP><SB>a</SB>(OX)<SB>b</SB>SiO<SB>(4-a-b)/2</SB>(wherein, R<SP>1</SP>is alkyl, alkenyl or aryl with the number of carbon atoms of 1 to 6, X is hydrogen atom, alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxy alkyl or acyl with the number of carbon atoms of 1 to 6, (a) is a value ranging from 1.05 to 1.5, (b) is a value satisfying the condition of 0<b<2, and (a+b) is a value satisfying the condition of 1.05<a+b<2), (B) condensation catalyst, (C) solvent, and (D) impalpable powder inorgaic filler. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
