<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the sealing performance of an outboard side end, and reduction in weight and costs, in a tapered roller bearing device having a flange ring for a wheel. <P>SOLUTION: The bearing device for the wheel is provided with an outer member 1 having a double row rolling surface 1a in the inner periphery, and an inner member 2 having a double row conical rolling surface 2a, opposed to the rolling surface, and double rows of conical rollers 4 disposed between rolling surfaces of the inner and the outer members. The inner member has a hub ring 3 having a hub flange 11 in the outer periphery near the end outer periphery of an inboard side to form the rolling surface 2a of each row in the hub ring and the inner ring. The inner ring has a major flange 5a in the inboard side. A flange ring 6 in contact with a major end of the conical roller of the outboard side row is fitted in the position adjoining the hub flange in the outer periphery of the hub ring. A sealing member 8 having a sealing lip broght into contact with the flange ring is fitted in the outboard side end in the inner peripheral surface of the outer member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
