<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthesis of dicationic 3,5-diphenylisoxazole and its antiprotozoal activity. <P>SOLUTION: New dicationic 3,5-diphenylisoxazoles are described. The synthetic route of the novel compound is provided. Several of these compounds displayed the in-vitro activity that is comparable to that of the furamidien against Plasmodium falciparum or the like.
