PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for easily and exactly determining freshness of an egg, a method of determining the freshness of the egg using the device, and a refrigerator provided with the device for determining the freshness of the egg. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a storage 2 for storing the egg 3, an ultraviolet ray generator 7 for irradiating the egg 3 stored in the storage 2 with a prescribed wavelength of ultraviolet ray, and a color sample 4 stored in the storage 2, and emitting the fluorescence same to a fluorescence emitted when the egg with the prescribed lapse dates and times after dropped is irradiated with the prescribed wavelength of ultraviolet ray, when irradiated with the prescribed wavelength of ultraviolet ray.
