PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood purifier which has a high level of blood compatibility, performance retainability during the contact with the blood, and safety, can exert an excellent water permeability after priming process, and has high long-term storage stability. SOLUTION: The blood purifier is produced by using a permselective polysulfone hollow fiber membrane bundle containing polyvinyl pyrrolidone, wherein the elution of polyvinyl pyrrolidone from the hollow fiber membrane bundle is 10 ppm or lower, wherein, when the hollow fiber membrane bundle is divided along its length into 10 segments and each segment is subjected to the test specified in the Production Acceptance Criteria for Dialysis-type Artificial Kidney Apparatuses, the elution of hydrogen peroxide in an extract taken from each segment is 5 ppm or lower for all segments, and wherein the water permeability determined 10 minutes after priming of the blood purifier is 90% or higher of the water permeability determined 24 hours after the priming.
