An LCD is provided to prevent the moir defect due to presence of a light guiding plate and improve the uniformity of brightness, thereby achieving excellent image, by using a reflector, which surrounds a plurality of LEDs(Light Emitting Diodes). A color filter substrate and a thin film transistor substrate are disposed at both surfaces of a liquid crystal layer. A polarizing plate is attached onto the color filter substrate. A transparent substrate(310) is attached onto the polarizing plate. A plurality of LEDs(320) are formed on the transparent substrate, wherein each of the LEDs has a smaller size than each sub-pixel of the color filter substrate. A reflector(330) is formed to surround the LEDs, and reflects the light emitted from the LEDs to the color filter substrate. A reflecting member is formed between the liquid crystal layer and the thin film transistor substrate, and reflects the light emitted from the LEDs to upside. |
