A wireless microphone device (1) is provided with an internal information display section (3) for displaying prescribed internal information; a sound signal detecting section (6); and a display switching section (8). When a sound signal inputted to the wireless microphone device (1) is detected by the sound signal detecting section (6), the internal information display section (3) is switched to be in a non-display status from a display status by the display switching section (8). Waste battery power consumption is suppressed, and power consumption is saved.
