The housing for an oil-filled gearbox, in a vehicle drive transmission, has a ventilation channel linking the interior with the ambient atmosphere for pressure compensation. The gearbox housing is in at least two parts (1), each with joint surfaces (10) against each other forming a plane where the housing divides. The ventilation channel is integrated into the joint surfaces, as a groove (11) on the dividing plane. The ventilation channel has at least one reservoir (R1-R3) as a temporary lubrication oil storage, formed by channel sections (01-05) interconnected in series in the joint surfaces, with an increasing volume from the gearbox interior towards the ambient atmosphere. |
