A device and a method for processing security in an image forming device are provided to improve information security by processing an image forming task after distorting one kind of data among image forming data inputted to the image forming device according to a set mode. A data processor(251) forms the image forming data with more than one kind of image item, distorts more than one image item among the data items according to a user mode selection, and processes the image forming task with the printing data including the distorted image item. A distortion processor(252) distorts one image among bitmap or text images according to an image or text security mode set by the user mode selection, and replaces text selected by a user with secure text.
