PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile transmission actuator formed simply so as to be able to engage/disengage gears of the automobile transmission so surely that driving can be ensured. SOLUTION: A shifting shaft of the transmission actuator 1 is borne rotatably for gear shifting and movably in its axial direction for gear selection. There is provided a slide guiding mechanism 2, which includes a first slide guiding mechanism 10 that is fixedly arranged and has a shaft-like shape and a second slide guiding mechanism 12 that is arranged in an axially movable and rotatable manner and has a disc-type shape. The second slide guiding mechanism is coupled to the shifting shaft. The first slide guiding mechanism includes depressed portions 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 axially spaced, while the second slide guiding mechanism can enter insides of the depressed portions and can turn accordingly in relation to an axial position of the second slide guiding mechanism.
