A retaining device (10) consists of a body (20) which has an axial entrance aperture (30) for receiving the capacitor and several part-zones (21-23); the lower part-zone (21) has a connection device for compression connection of the body (20) with the support element; a center part-zone (22) is selected for matching the outer diameter of the capacitor, and an upper part-zone (23), having a reduced wall thickness and peripheral recesses to provide springy lug- or strap-type guide devices. An independent claim is also included for a capacitor-support-element-arrangement.
