A method for setting a viewing limit grade in a TV is provided to allow a viewer to conveniently set the viewing limit grade by automatically setting the viewing limit grade according to age inputted by the viewer. A microcomputer judges whether a TV enters in a viewing limit grade setup mode(S10). If the TV enters in the viewing limit grade setup mode, the microcomputer displays an input window to allow a viewer to input age to be set up through an OSD(On Screen Display) generating device(S20,S40). The microcomputer judges whether the age is inputted through the input window(S50). If the age is inputted, the microcomputer sets a viewing limit grade corresponding to the age by referring to an age-classified broadcasting grade(S60).
