A display device, a driving apparatus and method thereof are provided to increase the visibility and luminance characteristic of moving images without breaking up bend orientation by applying high and low luminance gamma curves with the lowest voltage for the gradation voltage of white level in an OCB(Optical Compensated Birefringency) mode. A display device includes a display panel(110) for displaying images by using a liquid crystal layer operated in an OCB mode and driving units(170,180) for processing input original data(DATA) into first gradation voltage to which a first gamma curve is applied and second gradation voltage to which a second gamma curve is applied to be variable according to the level of the original data, and then outputting the gradation voltages to the display panel.
