An apparatus for the electrolytic treatment of a metal in an electrolyte (2) bath (1) as in the eloxidation of aluminum and having a cathode (5) and anode (13) comprises agglomerating primary gas bubbles generated during the electrolysis. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a device as above to separate hydrogen formed from the bath acid; (B) a device as above comprising a collection chamber for an aerosol, especially of hydrogen arising at the cathode;and (C) a process using the above devices. |
