The proposed outdoor microwave radio and television antenna is designed as a horizontal single-element active dipole for a meter or decimeter wavelength range. The antenna contains two identical oval-shaped dural lobes, which are symmetrically arranged along a circle and fixed to two diametrically opposite insulators. Between the lobes, air gaps are provided. At one of the points of joining of the lobes, the lobes are connected via a ballasting resistor. At the other point, the lobes are connected to a video and radio signal amplifier. The resistance of the ballasting resistor is equal to the input resistance of the amplifier. The length of the large axis of the lobe of the active dipole is 218 mm, the length of the small axis is 57 mm. The curvature radius of the lobes is 145 mm. The gap between the lobes at the joining point is 10 mm. The resistance of the ballasting resistor that is equal to the input resistance of the amplifier is 300 mm. The proposed antenna is distinctive by its improved performance and extended functionality range.
