A network printing system and a network printing method are provided to enhance security for printing data and reduce a manufacturing cost of an image forming device by using a fingerprint sensor for receiving authentication information. The first authentication information input part(110) receives the first authentication information for checking printing authority from a user. A host controller(120) transmits the first authentication information to the image forming device(200) and transfers the printing data to the image forming device by receiving printing permission information from the image forming device. The second authentication input part(210) receives the second authentication information for checking printing authority from the user. If the first authentication information received from the host device(100) is matched with the second authentication information inputted through the second authentication input part, a printing controller(220) transfers the printing permission information to the host device.
