A link mode control method in a device link system based on a TV is provided to operate and control respective slave devices, confirm a current operating status, and selectively turn on/off a link mode with each slave device in a digital TV. A TV operated as a master device of a device link system confirms a current operating status(S10-S12). The TV compares the confirmed current operating status with a predetermined link mode on/off control condition(S13). The TV selectively turns on/off a link mode for connecting with a slave device according to the compared result(S14-S18).
