A data transmitting device of a flat panel display is provided to decrease the programming time of one driving board by transmitting the data to the driving board as serial data and to easily reset or correct the data even after assembling a set. A data transmitting device(60) of a flat panel display includes a data supply unit(61) for storing data to be input to a driving board(63) driving the flat panel display and transmitting the stored data through a parallel transmission line according to a data transmission request and a data conversion control unit(62) for controlling the communication between the data supply unit and the driving board, receiving the data from the data supply unit, converting the data into serial data, and then transmitting the serial data to the driving board through a serial transmission line. The data conversion control unit receives a completion signal about the input of program data from the driving board when the program data is input to the driving board, transmits the signal to the board, and receives program data to be transmitted to the driving board from the data supply unit at the time corresponding to the completion signal.
