The decanter consists of a tank e.g. of concrete metal or reinforced plastic, optionally set in the ground. It has an inlet for the contaminated liquid and an outlet for liquid to be decanted after circulating between a series of plates (203) that can be tilted between vertical and inclined positions by means of side pivots (240) and hinged couplings (270). The plate assembly is connected to a counterweight with a mass that varies with the inclination of the plates so that it develops a traction in proportion to the angle of inclination. |
