Hinge consists of column part and/or door part each made up of at least two parts; one a base plate (2a) located on the car body and the other a bearing arm (12a) fixed to the base plate. The base plate and/or bearing arm are formed from metal stamped parts or moulded, welded or profile parts. The car door part is formed with a prepared base plate and bearing arm able to create at least two positions in which the car and/or column part can be placed.
