MULTI-PAGING METHOD AND THEREOF SYSTEM IN MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORKS

A multi-paging method in a mobile communication network and a system thereof are provided to perform a paging process by a GAN(General ATM switching Network) that receives a BSC(Base Station Controller) and an ANTS(Access Network Transceiver System) of a communication region where an AT(Access Terminal) is positioned, even though the AT moves to any region while receiving packet data, thus the AT can properly receive the packet data. An AT(70) demands AT location information registration to a DLR(Data Location Register)(40) according to an AT location information registration command received from an ANTS(11) whenever the AT(70) moves to a GAN border area after being positioned in a particular region(200a-205). The DLR(40) updates location information of the AT(70) at an AT location information table, and perceives the location information of the AT(70) by inquiring of the table if AT routing information is requested from a PDSN(Packet Data Serving Node)(50)(206-209). The DLR(40) inquires of the table to check whether the region where the AT(70) is positioned is a GAN border region(210). If so, the DLR(40) inquires of the table to confirm information on at least one of other GANs adjacent to the border region(210). The DLR(40) demands a paging process to a GAN(10) that receives the border region and the other GANs(211a,211b).
