<p>The rod (28) has two elongated units (30,32) mutually coupled in a telescopic fashion that is achieved by mutually co-operative guiding units. Each elongated unit has an end portion with a fastening unit. The telescopic connection allows adjustment of a distance between the fastening units between minimum and maximum values. The distance between the fastening units constitutes the effective length of the rod. The elongated units are provided with a lock system for being fastened to each other. The elongated unit (30) is provided with through opening on an end opposite to the portion receiving fastening units for receiving a locking unit. The locking unit has teeth (64) on two opposite sides for locking with teeth (60) on inner longitudinal ribs of the unit (32). The engaging of the teeth prevents the relative motion of the elongated units. The length of the rod is varied after extracting the locking unit.</p> |
