The absorber (10) has a chamber resonator which is formed by an outer housing volume which encloses a noise guiding channel in a given range. A noise guiding channel in the inner portion of the housing volume is interrupted in a noise guiding channel section (13). A slit-shaped opening is arranged in the axial and radial directions of the channel section within the housing volume.
