A character input method in a mobile communication terminal is provided to enable a user to input a key that includes characters to be inputted and to input a key that selects a character to be inputted, among the characters included in the inputted key, thus the user can input the character without frequently inputting the key or waiting for a certain time. When a character input mode is driven(301), a controller confirms whether an input key is inputted by a user(303). If so, the controller confirms characters included in the input key(305), and displays the confirmed characters and sequence keys matched with the characters one to one(307). The controller confirms whether an additional key is inputted(309). If so, the controller confirms whether the additional key is a sequence key for selecting one character(311). If so, the controller displays a character selected by the sequence key among the displayed characters(313). |
