The proposed eddy-current transducer contains an m-shaped magnetic core and an excitation coil and measuring coils, which are installed at the core. The position of the core with the coils can be adjusted depending on the diameter of the tested article so that the measuring coils are arranged asymmetrically relative to the axis of the article. The length of the sensitivity area of the transducer is equal to, or exceeds, the length of the article.
