A tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is removably mounted to the drop well (14, figure 1) of a wheel rim by a cradle structure 24. The cradle bracket 24 has two ends 44, 45 separated by a base 45, each end having a connector. The connectors may be in the form of a hook 43 and a clip 46. The cradle 24 is releasably attached to the wheel rim by an adhesive tape 28 and a band 18 that encircles the wheel. A tyre pressure sensor 21 is provided in a housing 22 and the housing 22 is releasably attached to the cradle connectors. The cradle has ports 30, 32 through which the attachment band 18 is threaded via a band guide 34 on the sensor housing 22. A spacer element 26 may be provided to ensure proper engagement of one end 44 of the cradle and the corresponding end 53 of the sensor housing. |
