A one line multiplex transmission public address system is provided to enable a builder to reduce construction period, costs required for a cable wiring operation and labor costs by removing the necessity for construction of complex lines and enable a user to control broadcasting so as to be outputted only to a desired place and make multiplex transmission possible, thereby reducing maintenance costs. An audio system using a one line multiplex transmission public address system comprises the followings: a modulator which receives plural audio aural signals inputted from the outside and modules them into FM signals; an address appointer(31,122) which appoints the inputted audio signals to each address; connection units(21,22); a CPU(Central Processing Unit)(30) which processes the inputted audio signal and a control signal; a combiner(40); a divider(102) which distributes the inputted signals; an audio FM demodulator(111) which receives only audio signals of pre-appointed address from the divider(102) and demodulates the modulated audio signal again; a control signal FM demodulator(131) which demodulates the modulated control signal; a digital amplifier(112); and a speaker(113).
