A plasma display panel is provided to improve an aperture ratio in a front direction by reducing the width of barrier ribs from a rear substrate to a front substrate. A plasma display panel includes a rear substrate(110), a front substrate(120), a plurality of barrier ribs(128), a plurality of address electrodes(122), a plurality of sustain electrode pairs(112), and a plurality of phosphor layers(129). The front substrate is separated from the rear substrate. The barrier ribs are arranged between the front and the rear substrate in order to define discharge cells. The width of the barrier ribs is gradually reduced from the rear substrate to the front substrate. The address electrodes are disposed across the discharge cells. The sustain electrode pairs are extended across the address electrodes within the discharge cells. The phosphor layers are disposed within the discharge cells.
