发明名称 INERTIA MASS AND FRICTION DECREASING TYPED VALVE SYSTEM IN ENGINE
摘要 A valve system for reducing inertia mass and sliding resistance is provided to improve workability by decreasing a lower portion of a tappet and sliding resistance between the tappet and a cylinder head, and to increase fuel efficiency of an engine by reducing inertia mass of the tappet and width of a cam. A valve system includes a valve(1) opening and closing an intake and exhaust passage by sliding up and down along a guide hole(Ch) of a cylinder head(CH), a valve spring(3) placed on the valve by a lock retainer(2) to apply elastic restoring force, and a tappet unit having a tappet guider(4) fixed to an upper end of the valve, a tappet(6) formed by extending a skirt part(5) and a shim(7) fixed in an upper part of the tappet and directly contacted to a cam(C). The skirt length(h) of the tappet is shorter than the skirt guide length(H) of the guide hole of the cylinder head.
