The technique for two-stage surgical treatment of cryptorchism in the children comprises the mobilization of the chyptorchid testicle to the maximally permitted level of descend at the first stage followed by the final downward transfer of the testicle into the scrotum 10-12 months later. At the first stage, the chyptorchid testicle is additionally mobilized according to the length of the testicular vessels without fixation of the testicle or the spermatic cord to the adjacent tissues. The vaginal process of the peritoneum is dissected longitudinally and not transversally along the anterior surface of the spermatic cord down to the deep inguinal ring. The entry to the peritoneal cavity is closed by the internal purse-string suture at the level of the deep inguinal ring. At the second stage, the testicle is descended to the scrotum from the laparotomic access and fixed to the bottom of scrotum directly under the skin on the side of the surgery.
