The proposed electrostatic motor contains a rotor and a stator. The rotor contains plate elements, which are connected to the terminals of the high voltage source. Each plate element contains a fixed plate that is attached to the rotor shaft, and a movable plate, which is pivotally joined with the fixed plate and arranged at an angle of less than 90 degrees to the cylindrical surface of the stator.
