METHOD FOR INTRAOPERATIVE ASSESSMENT OF DISTAL BED OF LOWER LIMB ARTERIES

The method for the intraoperative assessment of the distal bed of the lower limb arteries comprises the separation of arteries in the afferent femoral bed or the popliteal space, the palpatory revision and clamping proximally to the expected puncture site. Upon the puncture of the selected artery, through the vascular catheter heparinized physiologic saline is infused. When the distal bed of the artery allows for the passage of at least 100 ml/min of physiologic saline, the artery is considered as the suitable for the reconstruction.
