The method for the surgical correction of the total anomalous draining of the pulmonary veins provides for the anastomosis between the left atrium and the collector of the pulmonary veins. The direct cannulation of the superior and inferior vena cava for the artificial blood circulation is performed, the right pleural cavity is opened wide, the pericardium is dissected in the direction of the right diaphragmatic nerve. The heart is rotated around the axis of vena cava with the apex placing in the right pleural cavity. Finally, the anastomosis between the left atrium and the collector of the pulmonary veins is applied.
