METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING DERMATOMYCOSIS OF HOOF IN COWS

The method for diagnosing dermatomycosis of the hoof in the cows comprises obtaining the samples of the hoof, preparing the suspension of the scrapes in the physiologic saline. Then the sample is cultured in the medium lacking the sugars required for the growth of most fungi. Such a culture with the specific substrate for keratomycetes (the keratin from the hoof) allows for the isolation of the pure culture of the fungi possessing the keratolytic properties.
